After more than 20 years in the travel industry, Michelle Barker took time to reflect on what she wanted the next chapter to look like. While travelling through Sri Lanka alongside other independent travel specialists, it became clear that the future lay in creating something more personal — a business built entirely around her approach to travel design, relationships, and hands-on service.
Embark Travel was created from that vision. The name is a subtle nod to Michelle’s initials and, more importantly, reflects what travel is all about — the beginning of a journey, thoughtfully planned and full of possibility.
